A Dhaka court yesterday (Wednesday) placed Aminul Islam alias Dish Babu on a four-day remand for police interrogation in connection with his alleged involvement in the murder of Juba League leader Riazul Haque Khan Milky.
Magistrate Shahriar Masud of Dhaka’s Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) Court passed the
order after hearing. ABM Siddiqur Rahman, Investigation Officer (IO) of the case, produced Babu the court with a 10-day remand plea.
Riazul Haque Khan Milky, Organising Secretary of Dhaka City South unit of Juba League was gunned down by miscreants in front of Shoppers’ World on the Gulshan Avenue-1 in the capital on July 29, 2013.
Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested six persons in this connection and submitted a charge sheet against 12 people on April 15.
Hours after the incident, the main accused of the murder case Juba League leader Zahid Siddiki Tarek was killed in crossfire with RAB.
