The National Film Award 2016 is scheduled to be held on July 8 at Bangabandhu International Conference Centre in the city’s Sher-e-Banglanagar. Popular film actor Amin Khan will pair up with National Film Award winner actress Sadika Parvin Poppy in the cultural programme of the award giving ceremony.
Though earlier they worked together in the big screen but for the first time they will perform as a pair in the National Film Award giving ceremony. Everyday they are taking part in rehearsal of the event at BFDC Rehearsal Room in the city’s Karwanbazar area.
While talking in this regard Amin Khan told this correspondent, “I and Poppy worked together in some films but we could not get the scope to perform together in any stage show. For the first time we are going to perform in National Film Award giving ceremony which seems to be very respectable job for us because the Prime Minister will be present there as the chief guest.”
Poppy shared her feelings by this way, “I always give priority to perform at national level event. Viewers watched me with Amin Bhai in movie but for the first time we are going to perform together as a pair in the national programme. I believe our performance will be enjoyed by the viewers and audience on that day.”
