Amar Ekushey Hall of Dhaka University (DU) emerged as the champions in the Men’s Division of the Inter-Hall Swimming Competition, while Shamsunnahar Hall became champions in the Women’s Division of the Inter-Hall Swimming Competition on Wednesday. Jagannath Hall finished runners-up in the Men’s Division, while Bangamata Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib Hall finished runners-up in the Women’s Division. The swimming competition was held at the Swimming Pool in Dhaka University.
Md Saiful Islam Russell of Amar Ekushey Hall was adjudged the best male swimmer, while Sadia Islam Muna of Shamsunnahar Hall was adjudged the best female swimmer.
Vice-Chancellor of Dhaka University Professor Dr Md Akhtaruzzaman inaugurated the swimming competition in the morning as the chief guest.
After the swimming competition, Pro-Vice Chancellor (Academic) Professor Dr Nasreen Ahmad distributed the prizes among the winners as the chief guest.
President of Swimming & Water Polo Committee of DU Professor Dr Md Aftab Uddin presided over the prize-giving ceremony. Provosts of different halls of DU and officials of Physical Education Centre of DU were present at the time.
