Allegation of occupying the land in the capital’s Kazipara Residential area has been raised against Thengamara Mohila Sabuj Sangha (TMSS).
Victims Md Fazlur Rahman and Mohammad Hossain alleged it at a press briefing in a restaurant in Kazipara on Tuesday morning.
“We bought 10 decimals of land in Kazipara area (Holding No. 625, 226 and 227/1). Just then a man named Salahuddin claimed himself as the owner of the land through power of attorney. At this, we lodged a case against him in the court. He also filed a case,” Fazlur Rahman said.
The Court issued a stay order and asked them (both sides) not to take initiative to build any structure on the land. “But suddenly on April 28 in 2016 a signboard was hanged on behalf of TMSS. We protested it and informed the Mirpur Model Police Station. Police came to the spot and detained two staff of the TMSS. The police also cautioned them not to build any structure on the land. But the TMSS authorities continue their conspiracy to occupy the land,” Fazlur Rahman said.
This reporter tried to speak with Executive Director of TMSS Professor Hosne Ara Begum, but she refused. Her Personal Officer Ferdous in her personal cellphone advised the reporter to meet the Executive Director at office time.” saying it he disconnected the phone.
Public Relations Officer of TMSS Nurul Islam said they hanged the signboard and removed it. But he did not agree to give more information.
