The upcoming 12th Edition of ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 is set to schedule from 30th May, 2019 to 14th July, 2019 at England and Wales. This is a 50 over format World Cup. Ten teams are participating and the format of the tournament is round robin where every team have to play against each team in a single group. ICC has given the dead line for the preliminary squad’s announcement that is 23rd April 2019. All the teams can change their squads until 23rd May, 2019 after that they have to get the permission from ICC to change the squad by giving proper reason. Each team can add only 15 players in squad for the world cup.
England
The No.1 ODI ranking team and the host nation England will play the opening match of the World Cup 2019 against South Africa on 30 th May, 2019. Jofra Archer was out of the preliminary 15-man squad for world cup but now he is selected in place of David Willey for the final squad of world cup. England has finalized their squad after the Pakistan series. Liam Dawson and James Vince are also selected for the squad in place of Joe Denly and Alex Hales. Three times runner-up team still not manage to post a world cup trophy in their showcase but this time they have a chance to take advantage from the home ground because previous two world cups have won by the host nations.

Kane Williamson to hold the Captaincy. Tom Blundell will make his debut in this world cup. Tim Southee, Trent Boult, Martin Guptill, Kana Williamson and Colin Munro will be the key players for the team. The destructive batsman Martin Guptill is also in the squad for world cup who has record of highest ODI individual score 237 in world cup.In previous world cup 2015 New Zealand won the semi-final against South Africa and qualify for the final where they lost to Australia by 7 wickets. New Zealand will start their world cup journey against Sri Lanka on 1st June, 2019 at Cardiff.

Aaron finch will be the Captain of five times world cup winner team. Peter Handscomb and Ashton Turner are not in the Australian world cup squad. After the one-year suspension, David Warner and Steve Smith are now available for the team and are included in the 15-man squad. Pakistan will rely on the openers Fakhar Zaman and Imam ul Haq. Haris Sohail, Shoaib Malik and Muhammad Hafeez and Asif Ali will support the middle order. Pakistan has played one T20 and 5 ODI matches series in England before the world cup and they have made some decisions to change the 15-man world cup squad.
Muhammad Amir and Asif Ali both were the part of squad for England tour and now they are selected for the final 15-man squad in place of Faheem Ashraf and Abid Ali. Dimuth Karunaratne who last played his ODI more than four years ago in world cup 2015 isnamed as Sri Lankan team Captain. Sri Lanka ODI Captaincy has some issues and changed many times in recent months. Jeevan Mendis, MilindaSiriwardana, Jeffrey Vandersay have made their comeback to the world cup squad. Some regular players like Dinesh Chandimal, Upul Tharanga, NiroshanDickwella, AkilaDananjaya and DanushkaGunathialka are not selected for the 15-man world cup squad to represent their country. Sixes King Chris Gayle and allrounder Andre Russell have secured their place in the squad. There is no place for big man Kieron Pollard and off-spinner Sunil Narine in the squad. Out of 15 players 9 players will play their first world cup. Chris Gayle will appear in his 5thworld cup. Squad is picked by the new selection panel headed by Robert Haynes.Evin Lewis can open the innings with Chris Gayle for West Indies. Nicholas Pooran has been picked as a Wicket keeper. Shai Hope, Darren Bravo and ShimronHetmyer will support the middle order. Andre Russell is in good form in IPL 2019 and has the ability to chase the big targets by his hitting power. Shannon Gabriel and Kemar Roach will lead the pace attack. Injured Alzarri Joseph is also not picked.

Afghanistan is the 10thranked ODI team and will play their first match against Australia on 1st June, 2019 at Country Ground, Bristol. Karim Janat, Syed Shirzad and Ikram Ali Khil are selected as back-up players for the world cup. 15 players are selected out of 23 after the 6 months preparation. Shapoor Zadran and Javed Ahmadi not manage to get place in world cup squad. Afghanistan will go with three openers Muhammad Shahzad, Noor Ali Zadran and HazratullahZazai. Afghanistan has qualified for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 by playing a World Cup Qualifier in 2018.
