All-rounder Mehedi Hasan Miraz, who is the incumbent captain of Bangladesh U-19 cricket team, has been appointed as youth ambassador of Walton Group, the country’s leading electronics, electrical and home appliances manufacturing company.
Walton appointed Miraz as youth ambassador for the next two years (September 2016 – August 2017).
In this regard, an agreement between young cricketer Miraz and the country’s electronics’ giant Walton has been inked at the conference room of media office of Walton Group at Motijheel on Monday.
On behalf of Walton Group, Operative Director Uday Hakim has inked the deal with Miraz.
The agreement signing ceremony was attended, among others, by SM Zahid Hasan, executive director (Policy, HRM and Admin) of Walton, Md Firoz Alam, senior deputy director of the company’s PR and Media, Md Rabiul Islam Milton, assistant director of the Creative and Publication, and Palash Hossain, managing partner of Power Play Communication.
Speaking at the event, Uday Hakim said, “Walton is patronizing the country’s sports sector through different ways. As the continuity of our efforts, we have now come forward to patronize the cricketers. Thus, we appointed Miraz as youth ambassador.”
Walton believes that all-rounder Miraz will lead the country’s national cricket team in future and bring the World Cup trophy for Bangladesh, he said.
While expressing his reaction for becoming the youth ambassador of Walton, Mehedi Hasan Miraz said, “I am very glad to Walton for getting chance to work with the country’s renowned and sports-friendly corporate organization. It will be an exceptional experience for me.”
