All round Central Zone fight back in BCL on day 2

A brilliant ton by Marshal Ayub saw Walton Central Zone to take 253 runs lead over Prime Bank South Zone after the second day’s play of the second round four-day Bangladesh Cricket League (BCL) held on Sunday at the Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Prothisthan Ground-3 in Savar.
Trailing from 65 runs in first innings, Central Zone stared their second innings on the second day (Sunday) and scored 318 for 5 in 71 overs at stumps.
Marshal Ayub and Mehrab Hossain Jr. were on the crease with 122 and 4 runs as the stumps were drawn for the day.
Earlier, South Zone resumed their first innings on the second day with overnight scorer of 196 for 7 and finally dismissed at 230 for all in 62.2 overs.
Mahmudullah, the wrecker in-chief, finished his spell with seven wickets conceding 94 runs. He was well supported by well supported by Elias Sunny who bagged two wickets giving away 34 runs.
Central Zone 1st innings – 165 for all in 39.4 overs, Mahmudullha 36, Nurul 32, Shahriar 30, extras 8, Gazi 4/67, Razzak 3/44 and Rubel 2/33.
2nd innings – 318 for 5 in 71 overs, Ayub 122 batting, Shamsur 65, Mahmudullah 41, Mehrab 4 bating, Pervez 3/34.
South Zone 1st innings – 230 for all in 62.2 overs, Mithun 88, Imrul 22, Soumya 21, extras 11, Mahmudullah 7/94, Elias 2/34.
