All the High Court Division benches of the Supreme Court will function virtually from August 11 this year, said a notification issued on Sunday.
Md Ali Akbar, Registrar General of the Supreme Court, issued notification saying that judicial proceedings would be conducted in all the benches of the High Court Division of the Supreme Court through virtual presence from August 11 in the changed circumstances.
Generally more than 50 HC benches conduct judicial proceedings in normal time.
Earlier on Thursday last Chief Justice Syed Mahmud Hossain constituted 12 High Court benches only to hear and dispose of cases through virtual process from August 8 to 12.
Among the 12 benches, 9 are division (two judges) benches and three are single (one judge) benches, according to a notification.
But according to the new notification all the High Court benches would be run to dispose of cases from August 11.
