Much-hyped dialogue this evening

A 22-member delegation of the 14-party alliance led by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will sit with Dr Kamal Hossain-led Jatiya Oikyafront leaders today (Thursday) for talks over the upcoming national election.
The much-anticipated dialogue will be held at Prime Minister official residence Ganobhaban at 7 p.m. over holding the next general election stated in December.  
Awami League (AL) leaders Obaidul Quader, Amir Hossain Amu, Tofail Ahmed, Matia Chowdhury, Sheikh Fazlul Karim Selim, Mohammad Nasim, Jahangir Kabir Nanak, Kazi Zafar Ullah, Workers Party of Bangladesh leader Rashed Khan Menon, Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JSD) leader Hasanul Huq Inu, JSD-faction leader Mainul Khan Badol and Sammobadi Dal leader Dilip Barua are among the 21-member delegation.
The other members of the delegation are: Advocate Anisul Huq, Dr Mohammad Abdur Razzak, Sree Ramesh Chandra Sen, Mahbubul Alam Hanif, Dr Dipu Moni, Abdur Rahman, Dr Abdus Sobhan Golap, Dr Hasan Mahmud and Advocate S M Rezaul Karim, The list of 14 party allience’s deligation members was announced through an AL press release issued by its office secretary Abdus Sobhan Golap on Wednesday.
Jatiya Oikyafront on Tuesday announced their 16-member delegation list led by Gono Forum President and front leader Dr Kamal Hossain.
The other members of the Oikyafront are: BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, BNP standing committee members Dr Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain, Barrister Moudud Ahmed, Barrister Jamiruddin Sircer and Mirza Abbas, Nagorik Oikya Convener Mahmudur Rahman Manna and its leader SM Akram, Gano Forum’s Mostafa Mohsin Montu and Subrata Chowdhury, JSD President Abdur Rab and its leaders Abdul Malek Ratan and Tania Rob, Jatiya Oikya Prokriya’s Sultan Mohammad Mansur, ABM Mostafa Amin and Dr. Zafarullah Chowdhury as neutral person are likely to join the dialogue.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, also AL president, Tuesday formally invited the alliance to take part in the dialogue responding to a call by Dr Kamal Hossain, president of Gono Forum, a key component of the Oikyafront.
Dr Kamal wrote to the Prime Minister on October 28 asking for a dialogue to overcome the current political impasses centering the next election.
Dr Kamal Hossain Wednesday said the Jatiya Oikyafront believes in dialogue, which should be for the interest of the common people of the country.
He also urged that the dialogue should take place putting national interest and values of the country’s constitution ahead.
The eminent jurist came up with the remark at a discussion held at the Jatiya Press Club marking the founding anniversary of Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JSD).
