Staff Reporter :
BNP Executive Committee Member and former MP Ali Asgar Lobi had left the BNP showing his physical sickness.
“I have left the BNP on the ground of deteriorating health condition. I sent the resignation letter to the party Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir on January 24,” Ali Asgar Lobi told journalists on Monday.
Replying to a query, Ali Asgar Lobi said, he had resigned for his physical sickness, not for any other reason.
“I am seriously sick. I have been suffering from cancer. I was nowhere in the party activities in last 10 years,” he said.
Replying to another question, he said that he had no plan to join any party just now.
Lobi was an influential leader in BNP after the party came to power in 2001.
