Social worker and industrialist Alhaj Ali Ahmed has been elected Chairman of Dhaka Human Rights Commission ( DHRC) unopposed for the term 2016-2017 in a general meeting on Tuesday.
Ahmed is the Managing Director of Ruchi Food Industries and Chairman of AB Food.
He was born on January 3 , 1962 in a reputed Muslim family at the village Norparty of Laksham in Comilla district .
He has been playing vital role in spreading education in his area and other places and has been awarded with different awards including Atish Dipankar Gold Medal.
