Alhaj Zafar Bepari High School became the champions of the 6th Health First Mini Rugby (Under-10) Competition defeating Saint Gregory’s High School by 22-5 points in the final at the Shaheed (Captain) M Mansur Ali National Handball Stadium on Sunday.
Rakib of Alhaj Zafar Bepari High School was adjudged the Player of the Tournament.
Meanwhile, Shaheed Nabi High School finished third drubbing Khilgaon Model High School by 10-0 points in a place-deciding match at the same venue on the same day.
After the rugby competition, Secretary of National Sports Council Ashok Kumar Biswas distributed the prizes among the winners as the chief guest.
President of Bangladesh Rugby Federation (BRF) Abdullah-Al-Zahir Shapan, Vice-President of BRF Anisuzzaman, General Secretary of BRF Mousum Ali, Joint-Secretary of the federation Sayeed Ahmed and Secretary of the Tournament Committee Din Islam were present at the time.
Bangladesh Rugby Federation arranged the rugby competition, while Monowara Private Hospital Limited sponsored the meet.
