Alert issued to prevent 6 militants from fleeing country: Asad

Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan on Friday said the government has issued alert at the country’s airports and in border areas so that the six suspected militants of the banned ‘Ansarullah Bangla Team’ (ABT) cannot flee the country.
The Home Minister came up with the information while talking to reporters at his Dhanmondi residence in the city.
The minister said, law enforcement agencies and Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) have been asked to remain alert so that the militants cannot flee the country.
Earlier, Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has released the photographs and identities of six suspected militants of the Ansarullah Bangla Team involved in the wake of targeted killings recently and announced rewards of Tk 18 lakh for information leading to their arrest.
The six militants are: Shariful alias Sharif alias Saleh alias Hadi, a top organiser of ABT hailing from Greater Khulna; Selim alias Iqbal alias Ilias alias Mamun alias Hadi-2 from North Bengal; Sifat alias Samir alias Imran, one of the commanders of the military wing of ABT;
Abdus Samad alias Sujan alias Raju alias Salman alias Saad from Comilla; Sihab alias Sumon alias Syful from Chittagong; and Sajjad alias Sajib alias Siam alias Shams from a district adjacent to Dhaka. The DMP also announced a bounty of Tk 5 lakh each for information leading to the arrest of Shariful and Selim, and Tk 2 lakh for other four.
