The rate of coronary heart disease in Ishwardi is increasing rapidly. As of Wednesday, the death toll had risen to 50 percent. Although the rate of Corona infection has increased at an alarming rate, health rules are not being followed anywhere. Crowds, pushings and fights are taking place even when people come to the hospital to get corona vaccine.
On Wednesday (January 12), Upazila Health Complex official Dr. Asma Khan said that from January 8 to January 12, the test report of 7 people has been positive. In these 5 days, a total of 14 people were tested for rapid antigen in the hospital. 7 of them were infected with corona. Infection rate is 50 percent. The victims are receiving treatment at home. Most of them have received two doses of the vaccine. He said that if the victims were tested with a slight cold and fever, their report would be positive.
Dr Abdul Baten, a doctor at the hospital’s Family Planning Department said the number of victims was likely to be higher. Many people have symptoms but are not testing for fear. With Corona again, they are moving freely everywhere including the hat-bazaar. It is causing rapid infection. It is urgent to ensure that everyone wears a mask and maintain social distance.
