Noted hero Alamgir is a evergreen hero to all. Not only on the screen but also in real life he has successfully retains his identity. He got the national awards for several times. This evergreen hero can render song well. He has contributed his voice for some play-back songs also. He renders song passionately.
After a long time, Alamgir rendered song on the stage. On Thursday night at Uttara Club, he rendered song at a programme titled ‘Tribute to Gazi Mazharul Anwar’ while he stood on the stage along with Gazi Mazharul Anwar and his wife Zohra Kazi. He kept requests from audience while rendering songs in the programme. He rendered three songs.
In the programme, Badshah Bulbul, Kanakchapa, Dithi Anwar and Apu also rendered songs. National Film Award winner actress Nipun hosted the show.
It is noted that Alamgir acted first movie was Aamar Jonmobhumi. His acted second movie was Dossurani. By this movie, for the first time he paired with Shabana on the screen. Later this popular pair worked together more than hundred movies.
In 1985, Alamgir first time got the National Film Award for movie Maa O Chhele. Later he got the national awards for eight times. In his long time film career, he also rendered songs as a singer. Under the direction of Satya Saha he first gave his voice for play-back song.
