Alamgir Hossain of Nordik Club moved men’s singles semi-final of the AIUB Victory Day Tennis competition beating Amal Roy of Nordik Club in the quarterfinal held on Tuesday at national tennis court complex in the city’s Ramna.
In the day’s other men’s singles quarterfinals matches held at the same venue where Milon Hossain of American Club, Anwar Hossain and Mamun Bepari of Pabna Samsung H Chowdhury Tennis Club confirmed their last four birth after eliminating their respective rivals.
In the boys’ singles under-16 group quarterfinals, M Ishtiak, Arnab Saha of BKSP Jewel Rana and Swadhin Hossain of Elite Tennis Academy reached to the semi-final after beating their respective rivals.
Meanwhile, Afrana Islam Prity, Zerin Sultana and Eshita Afrok of BKSP moved to the semi-final after eliminating their respective rivals in the women’s singles quarterfinal matches.
In the boys’ singles under-14 group, Faridur Reza of BKSP, Sohel and Shanto Elite Tennis Academuy and Emon Islam of Jafar Emam Tennis Complex moved to the semi-final after beating their respective rivals in the quarterfinals.
In the boys’ singles 12-year group quarterfinals, Alvi and Sawon Passi of Elite Tennis Academy, Khandakar Saiwan Sahid of National Tennis Complex and Yasir Arafat of BKSP reached to the last four spot after eliminating their respective rivals.
