Legendary music composer and director Alam Khan has taken a different initiative for the newcomer singers. The singers who yet not get the opportunity to release their own songs Alam Khan will take the initiative to release their songs by own way. Alam Khan confirmed the matter on Friday.
The legendary music composer said that he along with Moniruzzaman Monir have already composed new 25 songs. He wants these songs will be rendered by the newcomer singer who did not get the scope to debut till now. He requested these singers to contact with him by own interest.
While talking in this regard Alam Khan said, “During Corona pandemic, life was absolutely challenging. During that time I realised that I passed many years from my life and lost many known faces. I thought I can contribute more for the music industry of our country. The singers who did not get the scope to debut their career I can give them the opportunity to start their journey in the field of music through new composed some songs. From that point of view I have taken this initiative. I request them to contact with me in this regard.”
When Alam Khan, hailed from Baniagachi of Sirajganj, was only 10 years old he composed music of a song titled Niribili sondhai dekha hole du’jonai, which lyrics were written by his friend Maksudur Rahman. Later, they also lent their voices for the song. But this song did not get release. Mukul Chowdhury written song O Madhobi go theko mor antore was Alam Khan composed his first original track. Before Independence, this song got popularity in voice of Rawshan Ara Mustafiz on BTV. Alam Khan established himself from Ustad Noni Chatterjee and Ustad Karim Shahabuddin. Later, he also worked as assistant music director with Robin Ghosh, Altaf Mahmud and Satya Saha. As a full-fledged music director, he first worked in Abdul Jabbar Khan directed movie Kanch Kata Hirey. Under Alam Khan’s music direction MA Hamid, Shawkat Hayat Khan and Sabina Yasmin rendered play-back songs in this movie.
Alam Khan basically came into limelight for composed the song Ore Nil Doriya in voice of Abdul Jabbar in Abdullah Al Mamun directed movie Sareng Bou. He got the National Film Award for the first time to work in Mohiuddin directed movie Boro Bhalo Lok Chhilo. Later, he also got this award for six times for movies Tin Konnya, Surrender, Dinkal, Bagher Thaba, Ki Jadu Korila and Ebadat. With his hands Ferdous Wahid, Kumar Shanu, Andrew Kishore and Sheikh Ishtiaq debuted their career as play-back singers. In movies, Andrew Kishore and Sabina Yasmin lent their voices for maximum numbers under his composition.
