Of the 16 municipalities where final result were announced the ruling Awami League won, unofficially, in 10 municipalities while BNP won 3 and Independent 3 according to preliminary results received by the Election Commission.
The municipalities where AL won are Jokigonj, Chattak, jogonnathpur, Dirai,Moulobibazar sadar, Borolakha, Komolgonj, Madabpur, Sunamgonj Sadar, Sastagonj.
The municipalities where BNP won are Hobigonj Sadar, Chunarughat, Nobigonj,
The municipalities where Independent won are Golapgonj, Khanaighat and Kulaura.
