The ruling Awami League leaders have said that “Vision 2030” announced by the main opposition BNP is nothing but a political stunt as it was prepared copying from the AL’s long-term plan [Vision -2041] announced earlier.
BNP unveiled its “Vision 2030” at the Westin hotel in Dhaka on Wednesday, which is, in fact, a forerunner of its electoral manifesto for the next General Election scheduled in 2019.
“As the BNP leaders have no innovative power, they are now announcing “Vision 2030″ which is actually a copy of AL’s long-term planning,” AL General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader said while talking to the newsmen at AL President’s Dhanmondi political office in the city yesterday.
The AL announced Vision -2021 in 2008. Later, it extended its tenure to 2041. Now, both the two visions are under implementation.
Veteran AL ledaer and Commerce Minister Tofail Ahmed said that BNP has copied and followed the ruling party’s earlier announced Vision-2021. “There is nothing new,” he said.
Echoing the same, Shipping Minister Shajahan Khan said BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia has made the announcement of fake Vision -2030 copying Sheikh Hasina’s Vision-2021.
“It will not possible for Khaleda Zia to implement the Vision-2030 by any means. The BNP is now talking about different projects to overcome its political mistakes made during its previous tenure. But the countrymen do not believe it,” the Minister said.
Not only that, Food Minister Kamrul Islam has said that Khaleda Zia’s Vision-2030 is nothing but stunt and trickery. “BNP Chief sat in meetings with her party colleagues over the issue. But several leaders expressed negative approach to it. So, it will not possible for BNP to attract general people on the issue where leaders of her own party are against it,” he said. AL Joint General Secretary Mahabubul Alam Hanif accused the BNP of trying to make the Parliament ineffective. “Khaleda Zia went to the Parliament only for eight days. The party [BNP] hurl abusive words sitting in the House,” he said.
