BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir on Friday said, ruling Awami League now conceives its defeat in the ensuing national polls.
As such, the party (AL) has taken new strategy of attacking BNP and Jatiya Oikyafront leaders and activists across the country.
“The Awami League leaders now conceive an imminent defeat subject to holding the election free and fair. To overcome it, they have started attacking BNP and Jatiya Oikyafront leaders including JOF Chief Dr. Kamal Hossain. They are attacking BNP and JOF candidates and their supporters everywhere,” Mirza Fakhrul said it in a general meeting of the party workers in Shahid Titu Auditorium, Bogura.
He condemned the attack incidents on Dr. Kamal Hossain in Dhaka and demanded justice.
The BNP leader advised the party workers to stay in polls race till the last moment.
“We will stay in the race till the last moment. We will win in the election as the voters are supporting Sheaf of Paddy. So, you should go to every door and ask voters to go to polling centers and vote for Sheaf of Paddy,” Mirza Fakhrul said.
He asked the party men to go to polling centers and make sure that the voters cast their votes in everyone’s respective areas.
“Guard the voting centers all day long and do not leave the centers until the result is declared. If we protect the votes of the people, our victory is certain,” the BNP leader said.

He has campaigned at Thakurgaon-1 constituency for last three days and started public relation in Bogura-6 on Friday.
