BSS, Dhaka :
Publicity and publication secretary of Awami League Dr Hasan Mahmud asked the pro-BNP Doctors’Aassociation of Bangladesh( DAB) to check the mental health of BNP leaders.
He was speaking at a press conference at the Dhanmandi political office of the Awami League president organized to protest the filthy and objectionable remarks against Bangabandhu’s grandson and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s information technology advisor, Sajib Wajed Joy, made by BNP leaders last Saturday.
Others who were present at the conference included Dr Badiuzzaman Bhuiyan
Dablu, health secretary of Awami League, Md Abdus Sattar, industries’ secretary of the party and other central leaders.
Dr Hasan said “Remarks by BNP leaders indicate they are suffering from dementia. I request the DAB leaders to check their leaders’ mental health.”
He said “Sajib Wajed Joy’s truthful statement has hurt the BNP leaders. He is a computer scientist and he graduated from one of the best universities of the world, Harvard. It is a matter of great pride for us”.
He said when Joy speaks he says so with logic and proof. Otherwise, he is providing services to the prime minster, free-of-cost.
Hasan said, “Digital Bangladesh is no longer a dream. It is a reality. The idea was first floated by him.”
He appealed to BNP leaders and said “Please refrain from using filthy and inconsistent remarks and look at your reflection in the mirror. You cannot cover your misdeeds by lying and raising your voice.”
Dr Hasan said that during the Liberation War Ziaur Rahman was a Pakistani spy in disguise. He displayed a letter written by Brigadier Beg of the Pakistan army written to Ziaur Rahman during the War expressing satisfaction with his work.
He displayed the letter and said that is the reason why he was involved in the killing of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman on August 15, 1975. That is the reason why Khondoker Moshtaque made him the army chief after usurping power.
