The ruling Awami League has sent a medical team for providing health care services to the Rohingya refugees, have taken shelter at Ukhiya in Cox’s Bazar, persecuted in Myanmar and entered into Bangladesh, said a party release here on Friday.
The medical team led by Dr Rokeya Sultana, Health and Population Affairs Secretary of the Awami League, will provide healthcare services to the Rohingya refugees.
among others, Dr Azizur Rahman, Dr Abdus Salam and Dr Fuchunu are present.
Even the representatives under the banner of Bangladesh Medical Association (BMA) and Swadhinata Chikitsak Parishad of Cox’s Bazar district will also take part in the healthcare services.
