Awami League will organise prayers across the country to wish a long life and good health of Prime Minister and Party President Sheikh Hasina today.
In a press release issued here on Thursday, the party General Secretary Obaidul Quader urged all its organizational units, associate bodies and like minded organizations at district, upazila, pourasava, union and ward levels to organize prayers for Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina after Jumma prayers.
On Sunday, an international flight carrying Bangladeshi Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to Hungary made an emergency landing in Turkmenistan after technical problems.
The Boeing-777 flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines carrying Sheikh Hasina landed in the Hungarian capital of Budapest after four-hour delay at Ashgabat, capital of Turkmenistan, where the flight was forced to make an emergency landing.
As part of nationwide doa and prayer programmes, a milad and doa mahfil will be held at Baitul Mukarram National Mosque after Jumma prayer today.
Besides, special prayers will be offered at Dhakeshwari National Temple at 12 noon, International Buddhist Monastery at Merul Badda at 10.30am and Bangladesh Baptist Church at Mirpur Senpara at 9am today.
Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport Minister Obaidul Quader requested all party leaders and workers to observe the nationwide programme.
