Moulvibazar 2 Constituency: AL offices vandalised, 15 hurt in Kulaura

Around 15 persons were injured while attacked election campaign offices of Awami League at Kulaura Upazila of Moulvibazar on Wednesday to Thursday as the general election is only 10 days away.
Locals said, AL campaign office has been vandalised allegedly by ‘BNP men’ in Kulaura upazila of Moulvibazar at around 10:30pm on Wednesday night.
At least six supporters of MM Shahin, Awami League-led alliance candidate from Bhuksimoil area in Kulaura Upazila of Moulvibazar for Moulvibazar 2 Constituency, were injured in an attack at one of his election office at Kulaura in the district on Wednesday night.
Three of them admitted to Kulaura health complex out of six.
Shofi Ahmed Solman, Joint Secretary of Kulaura upazila Awami League leader alleged that BNP and Jamaat men attacked them, but the district BNP Vice-president Abed Raja rejected the allegation and said that it was a ‘planned drama’ to harass their party activists.
Locals said, at one stage of Sultan Mohammad Mosnur Ahmed’s supporters attacked AL office at around 10:30 pm, AL and BNP men locked in clashes.
On the Other hand, BNP supporters attacked AL campaign office and vandalised it in Monu Bazar area in Kulaura Upazila of Moulvibazar at around 9.30 pm on Wednesday .
Locals said, around 20-30 supporters came with motorcycles and attacked to AL office while seven AL supporters injured. Four of them admitted in Kulaura health complex.
Injured were identified as Bidhan dey,42, Abdul Aziz,43, Abdul Wahid,48, Nozrul Islam,40, Joynal Abedin,35, Abdul Hannan,35, and Md. Abdur Rouf.
On information, police rushed to the spots and brought the situation under control, said Mohammad Shamim Musha, OC of Kulaura Police Station.
