UNB, Dhaka :
BNP joint secretary general Salahuddin Ahmed on Thursday alleged that Awami League has now transformed into a ‘vendor of militancy’.
In a statement, he said, “Having filed to do a monopoly business of the Liberation War spirit, Awami League has now turned a vendor of militancy.”
The BNP leader alleged that the Prime Minister and her other ministers in chorus have continued comparing BNP with IS, Al-Qaeda, Taliban, Boko Haram and underground parties to brand them as collaborators of militancy to the international community.
He claimed that the ruling party’s evil plot to cling to power capitalising on people’s dead bodies is getting exposed.
As part of their plot, the BNP leader alleged that the ruling party has continued its efforts to shift the blame on the opposition after killing people with its cadres through bomb attacks.
Referring to media reports, he said members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) has recently recovered ‘1584 bombs’ from the house of Foez Ali, an Awami League leader and Fultala union parishad chairman in Moulvibazar district.
Salahuddin claimed that the recovery of the bombs from a ruling party leader has proved that Awami League is making bomb and petrol bomb godowns to carry out subversive acts in a planned way to shift the blame on the opposition.
He said, the government has put the state machinery, including the judiciary, against the country’s people to subdue the opposition and differing views.
About the ruling party’s criticisms for announcing hartal through statements from a secret ate place, the BNP leader said they are issuing their statements through email as they did it earlier during normal time.
Salahuddin alleged that the government did not leave any space for the opposition to do open politics.
