City Desk :
Liberation War Affairs Minister AKM Mozammel Hoque, MP, said Awami League (AL) is not scared of any threat in the name of movement.
The minister said this on Monday while speaking as the chief guest at a pre-Iftar Mahfil discussion organised by the National Awami Party (NAP-Bhasani) at Dhaka Reporters Unity (DRU) here. With president of NAP-Bhasani Mostaque Ahmed in the chair, the discussion also was addressed, among others, by Dr MA Samad, M Faez Ullah and Rokonuddin Pathan.
He said Awami League has brought independence of the country through the Liberation War-all the anti-state conspiracies of the BNP- Jamaat-Shibir forces will be faced collectively by all the freedom fighters, if necessary.
The minister alleged that BNP chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia and her son, who are involved in a conspiracy against the government during their stay in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA), would be replied by the people of Bangladesh timely. All the conspiracies and evil design of the BNP-Jamaat would be resisted by the Awami League along with the support from the people, the minister added.
Protesting the Israeli attack in Gaza, the liberation war affairs minister said, “The Jamaat- Shibir has not been sounding any protest now against the barbarity and horrendous act of Israel in the Gaza strip that claimed lives of nearly 500 innocent Palestinians over the past week.”
