SM Mostafa Rashidi Suja, former Jatiya Sangsad whip and Awami League lawmaker from Khulna-4 constituency, was laid to eternal rest beside his parents in city’s Tutpara graveyard on Sunday afternoon.
Earlier, body of Suja was airlifted to Khulna Navy Headquarters at BNS Titumir from Dhaka. From there, the body was taken to his residence in city’s Tutpara Darogapara area. His second namaz-e-janaza was held at Alhaj Mokbul Hossain mosque, near his residence.
Later, the body was taken to Khulna AL Office, where Fisheries and Livestock Minister Narayan Chandra Chanda, Prime Minister’s Economic Adviser Dr. Mashiur Rahman, Deputy Minister for Environment, Forest and Climate Change Abdullah Al Islam Jacob, AL joint Secretary Mahbub-ul-Alam, MP, newly elected KCC mayor Talukder Abdul Khaleque, Chairman of Khulna Zila Parishad Sheikh Harun-ur-Rashid, MPs of different constituencies under Khulna division, City and district unit AL leaders and workers of the front organizations paid rich tributes to him by placing wreaths on his coffin.
