Prime Minister’s Private Investment and Industry Adviser Salman Fazlur Rahman, MP, has urged the Awami League leaders and activists to brighten the party’s image through volunteer activities.
Through two letters to the local leadership of Awami League and the local administration in his home constituency of Dhaka-1, he discouraged any showdown on occasion of his visit to the constituency creating nuisance for the public.
Salman Fazlur Rahman hoped that the AL leaders and workers would engage themselves in voluntary and social activities to earn respect of the people.
He advised the party workers to respond to social media posts with facts and arguments instead of reacting aggressively.
“If there are any corruption and unjust activity, one should resort to legal recourse or inform the law enforcement agencies,” he said. Salman Fazlur Rahman asked the local administration of Dohar-Nawabganj to remove all posters, banners, and festoons, except those focusing on the government’s development programs and placed in appropriate places.
Salman Fazlur Rahman said only the photographs of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and her ICT Adviser Sajeeb Wazed Joy may be used in any such posters, banners or festoons.
He strictly prohibited the use of his own photos in posters or banners, without the pre-approval granted by his office.
