People allegedly backed by the ruling party on Sunday confined the upazila chairman of Jhikargachh for over two hours till 1pm, the upazila chairman and police confirmed.
Sabira Nazmul Munni, upazila chairman, Jhikargachha told that she was confined by the Awami League men for over two hours till 1pm while she was attending two meetings of the upazila council.
Over one hundred people including noted terrors Tokon, Reza, Khoka and Manik led by an Awami League cadre Ilias confined her in the upazia complex.
