Bidders could not drop tender documents in 48 group-works for Tk 8.5 crore of Jessore Education and Engineering Department, as they were not allowed to do so on Thursday.
The ruling party men loyal to Shahin Chaklader, General Secretary, Jessore district unit of AL, played the role, said contractors.
But, the district unit AL secretary denying the accusation said that he was not aware of the incident. ‘Those who told my name
did it to destroy my image,’ he said. When asked, Shahidul Islam Milon, President, Jessore district unit of Awami League told The New Nation that he did not know anything about the matter as he was a contractor.
