Dhaka City Awami League General Secretary and Minister for Relief and Disaster Management Mofazzal Hossain Chowdhury Maya on Tuesday said the anarchy of BNP-Jamaat would be countered with the help of the people.
“The alliance led by Begum Khaleda Zia is enemy of democracy and they would not be allowed to enter the capital on January 5,” he said speaking at a discussion meeting organized by Sheikh Russell Sangsad at AL central office in the city marking the Victory Day.
Maya hoped that the people would rally round the pro-liberation force on January 5.
Presided over by Sheikh Russell Sangsad Acting President Mohammad Hossain Mansur, the meeting was also addressed by City AL Office Secretary Sahidul Islam Milon and Publicity and Publication Secretary Abdul Haq Sabuj, among others.
Maya asked the AL leaders and activists to remain alert in their respective areas to resist anarchy of BNP-Jamaat on January 5.
He said BNP chief Khaleda Zia tried to hinder trial of the war criminals by calling hartals again and again. “But she failed. Insha Allah, she would not be able to save the war criminals,” he added.
The minister said even the foreigners are no more with BNP now.
