Staff Reporter :An Awami League (AL) nominated mayoral aspirant of Arani Municipality in Rajshahi died on Thursday after taking excessive liquor.The deceased, Babul Hossain, was a vice-president of Arani Upazila unit of AL, breathed his last at Rajshahi Medical College Hospital (RMCH) in the afternoon, reports our Rajshahi Correspondent.Babul was taken to Bagha Upazila Health Complex following severe chest pain due to high doze of alcohol consumption last night, said Abu Hena Mustafa Kamal, an on duty doctor of Rajshahi Medical College Hospital quoting the deceased’s family members.As his condition deteriorated, he was later shifted to RMCH where he breathed his last at the Intensive Care Unit around 3:00pm, the doctor said.
