Staff Reporter :Police recovered the throat-slit body of the ruling Awami League (AL) leader from the West Sanarpar area in Demra of the capital on Saturday morning.The dead victim was identified as Anamul Huq Gias, 45, AL General Secretary of ward No. 8 in Dhaka, said Shirajul Islam, Officer-in-Charge of Demra Police Station.”Local people found the body at the garden in the area and informed the police at about 11:00am. We recovered the throat-slit body from the garden, ,” the OC said. He might have been killed on Friday night as he was missing since evening and reason behind the killing could not be known immediately, he said.Enamul’s house is 200 yards from where he was found murdered. We are investigating the incident and trying to arrest the killers, OC said.
