AL leaders, Muktijuddha Sangsad hail SC verdict upholding Mir Quasem’ death penalty

The district-level leaders of Awami League (AL) and it’s front organisations and district Muktijuddha Sangsad and public representatives in separate statements issued here yesterday hailed the supreme court verdict upholding the Jamaat-e-Islami leader Mir Quasem Ali’s death penalty which was earlier awarded by international crime tribunal for committing crime against humanity.
 They also demanded speedy execution of the supreme court judgment saying that the nation could be freed from the curse after execution of the verdict.
 Those who issued the statements were included president of the AL Netrakona district unit Motiur Rahman Khan, general secretary of the unit and freedom fighter Ashraf Ali Khan Khasru, Mayor of Netrakona Pourasava Nazrul Islam Khan, commander of district Muktizoddha Sangsad Nurul Amin, freedom fighter Khalilur Rahman Bir-pratik, war-wounded freedom fighter Osman Gani Talukder and president of district Krishak League Kashob Ranjan Sarker.
