Sylhet-3 (Dakshin Surma-Fencugonj-Balagonj) lawmaker and Sylhet District Awami League Vice-President Mahmud Us Samad Chowdhury has submitted his nomination form as an aspirant of the ruling Awami League to contest the forthcoming general election scheduled to be held on December 30.
Five aspirants have also sought AL nominations. However, the Sylhet Awami League is united and has kept its faith in Mahmud Us Samad Chowdhury as the constituency has witnessed massive development during his nearly ten years as a lawmaker.
Mahmud Us Samad Chowdhury has turned into a symbol of AL’s unity and become the last refuge of local leaders and activists.
