UNB, Rajbari :A local Awami League leader was shot to death by unidentified miscreants in Sadar upazila on Friday afternoon. The deceased was identified as Abdus Sattar,45, president of ward No-7 Awami League under Pachuria union and son of Sukhi Mahmud of Dayalbandhu village.Police said, a group of miscreants pounced on Sattar at around 2:30pm while he was returning home after Juma prayers at a local mosque.The thugs chopped him indiscriminately and later opened fire on him, leaving him dead on the spot.On information, police super Rezaul Haque rushed to the spot.
