Shajahan Khan Talukder, Vice President of Pirojpur district unit Awami League (AL), passed away while undergoing treatment at a hospital in Barishal on Monday morning. He was 74, said a press release .
Shajahan, also former General Secretary of the Pirojpur district unit of Bangladesh Chhatra League, left behind his wife, a son, two daughters and a host of relatives and admirers to mourn his death.
Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader expressed profound shock and sorrow at the death of Shajahan.
In a condolence message, the minister prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family.
