Awami League leader of North Chittagong Manzoorul Alam injured a Jubo League leader Jainul Abedin with firing in drunk position and hence police rounded up Manzoor ul Alam, police sources said. Manzoor Alam , a member of North district AL and noted transport leader of Chittagong.
Sources said Manzoor was arrested by police in front of Officers Club , near outer stadium and the firing incident also occurred at that place. Kotwali . thana police of CMP Jasimuddin told the media that they were staying at officers club after 12 midnight and they came out from club after midnight , at one stage Manzoor fired at Jainul Abedin following altercations among them.
Sensing the news of firing, police rushed to the spot and instantly arrested Manzor and brought at thana .
Injured Jainul immediately admitted to Chitagong medical college hospital at night for treatment. Mentionable that Jainul is the JL leader of south district unit of Chittagong . Sources said brother of Jainul taking preparationto file case before the court
