A local leader of Awami League sustained injuries in a bomb attack by miscreants at Islamkati in Tala upazila early Monday.
The injured was identified as Sheikh Abdul Aziz, general secretary of Awami League of Islamkati union unit.
Abdul Aziz said he came under attack by miscreants while he along with his wife was sleeping in a room.
Miscreants hurled a bomb at them through a house window, leaving him injured.
His wife, however, escaped from the bomb attack, Abdul Aziz said.
Youth hacked to death in Comilla

A youth was hacked to death by some unknown miscreants in Moloy Bazar area in Daudkandi upazila on Saturday afternoon.
The deceased was identified as Faruk Ahmed, 30, son of Almas Bepari of Haripur village of the upazila.
Witnesses said Faruk was severely injured as a group of masked miscreants chopped him in the area after calling him over mobile phone around 4 pm. He was rushed to Gauripur Hospital with his wrists cut-off and severe injuries on head.
He was referred to Dhaka Medical College hospital from there as his condition deteriorated. He succumbed to his injuries on way to Dhaka.
Asaduzzaman Asad, sub-inspector of Gauripur Police Station, said the body was sent to Comilla Medical College Hospital for autopsy.
