AL leader grabs FF’s homestead violating court order in Anowara

A leader of ruling party has allegedly occupied the homestead of a veteran freedom fighter violating court order and trying to encroach other adjacent land forcibly at the village Guapanchak in Anowara Upazila in Chittagong district.
It is widely alleged that Quazi Mozammel Haq, General Secretary of Anwara Upazila Awami League in Chittagong started construction of house forcibly at village Guapanchak without marking any demarcation with veteran freedom fighter Kazi Abdul Haq . He asked Quazi Mozammel Haq to stop work but he did not care it . Local elite also tried to negotiate the matter but failed.
 Being helpless freedom fighter Quazi Abdul Haq filed cases in the Court of Joint District Judge, Patiya and concerned magistrate court against Quazi Mozammel Haq seeking injunction on the construction and court imposed injunction order after hearing but violating the court order he along with his associates constructed wall by breaking 100 years old house . He also blocked the yard and walk-way of Quazi Abdul Haq.
When contracted Officer- In-charge of Anwara Police Station Humayun Kabir said that this not police concerned but according to CRPC police department is bound to follow the court order. Besides, Central Intelligence Cell of NBR is investigating into the matter of earning illegal wealth upon a complaint against Mozammel Haq. While talking to the local people they alleged that Mozammel Haq who is also an employee of KAFCO has been misusing his power and local police are paying deaf ear to the problem. Specially OC maintains good relation with Quazi Mozammel Haq, it is alleged.
 When contracted Quazi Mozammel Haq said he has built his house on inherited land. It is mentionable that veteran freedom fighter and social worker Quazi Abdul Haq was was a former Vice President of Chittagong district from since 1988 . He founded Guapanchak High School , madrasa and other religious institutions. He urged the authority concerned to take necessary action in this regard.
