A joint meeting of central leaders of Awami League and Awami Juba League chairman, general secretary and Dhaka City South and North units presidents and general secretaries has been convened at the political office of Awami League president Sheikh Hasina at Dhanmondi in the city at 4.30 pm today.
Disclosing this on Wednesday, a press release of Awami League stated that the joint meeting has been convened to make the programmes including bringing out colourful marches and joy processions across the country on the Victory of Democracy Day on January 5 and the public rally to be organised at the historic Suhrawardy Udyan to mark the Homecoming Day of Bangabandhu on January 10 successful.
In a statement on Wednesday, Awami League general secretary and Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives (LGRD) Minister Syed Ashraful Islam urged all concerned to attend the meeting on time.
