Al Hikma Muslim Academy made a good start in the final round of the First Security Islami Bank National School Hockey Tournament beating Rafiquddin Memorial High School by 3-0 goals in the opening match at the Maulana Bhasani National Stadium here on Saturday.
Sagar struck twice while Tofail scored the other goal for Al Hikma Academy.
In another match, Keramatia High School beat Nawab Habibullah School 3-1 at the same venue. Anisur Rahman scored two goals and Hossain Ali one for the winners while Rizvi netted the lone goal for the losers.
In the day’s other match at the same venue, Khonjanpur High School beat Comilla High School 2-0 with Nasim and Sakib scoring one goal each for the winners.
The day’s fourth match between Aided High School and Jessore BAF Shahin High School ended in a goalless draw.
A total of 32 school teams, who qualified after the zonal matches, are taking part in the final round.
