Jatiyatabadi Ainjibi Forum’s new Convener Advocate Khandker Mahbub Hossain on Friday said, “There is nothing to fear the government as there is no ground under its feet. The Awami League government is now at such a stage that at any moment it can collapse.”
He said this in a sit-in programme organised by “Nagorik Adhikar Andolon Forum” in front of the Jatiya Press Club yesterday demanding unconditional release and treatment of BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia.
Khandker Mahbub Hossain said, “Awami League does not have the right to remain in power for a moment. They have not come to power constitutionally, but in a different way. The government will have to quit immediately.”
BNP Joint Secretary General Moazzem Hossain Alal, Advisor to the BNP Chairperson Syed Mehedi Ahmed Rumie and BNP Executive Committee Member Abu Naser Mohammad Rahmatullah, among others, were present in the programme.
