AL govt believes in politics of dev: Minister

State Minister for Foreign Affairs Shahriar Alam, MP, has said the present of government under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina believes in only politics of development.
He added that the government has been working relentlessly for a balanced development of the country besides improving living and livelihood condition of the people.
The state minister came up with the observation while inaugurating three newly constructed roads and a five-storey academic building of Arpara Government Primary School in Bagha upazila in the Rajshahi on Saturday as chief guest.
Local Government Engineering Department (LGED) constructed the roads by spending around Taka 1.20 crore and the school building at a cost of Taka 86 lakh.
Shahriar said the Awami League government would once again come to power as the people would re-elect the party for continuing the ongoing development spree and improving their living standard.
He said whenever the Awami League remains in power the mass-people can get the chance of uplifting their socio-economic condition. So, he urged the party leaders and workers to win the hearts of the general public for making Awami League victorious in the next general election.
The state recalled the greatest contribution of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman to the independence of Bangladesh.
He said: “We’ve already stepped into the stair of a lower middle-income country from the lower-income nation. Bangladesh doesn’t want to stay at the lower ladder… it wants to climb up.”
He also said Bangladesh is moving ahead in all fronts and the government is determined to turn the country into a peaceful abode in South Asia.
Upazila Nirbahi Officer Hamidul Islam, Upazila Engineer Maksudul Islam and Union Parishad Chairman Shafiqur Rahman also spoke on the occasion.
