The ruling Awami League has formed 16 teams to resist BNP’s blockade programme in the capital. Each team, comprising central leaders of the party, will take position at the city’s important points, said a press release on Monday. In a statement, Awami League joint general secretary Mahbub-ul-Alam Hanif urged all concerned to resist the blockade programme by ensuring their presence in their respective spots. BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia on Monday announced an indefinite countrywide blockade protesting the government’s restriction in its rally.
