At least 10 people were injured in a clash between two groups of the ruling Awami League at Sonagazi in Feni on Tuesday.
Locals said, Feni-2 MP Nizam Hazari and Feni-3 MP Haji Rahim Ullah had been at loggerheads over establishing their dominance in the locality for a long time.
As a sequel of the enmity, supporters of the two ruling party leaders engaged in an altercation when the motorcade of MP Haji Rahim Ullah reached at the Sonagazi Bazar on the way to his village home from Dhaka.
It later turned into a clash when the supporters of Nizam Hazari attacked the motorcade at around 5pm. MP Rahim Ullah all of a sudden took shelter to local police station to protect himself from the attackers.

Some five vehicles were also vandalised during the clash.
Being informed, police went to the spot and took control of the situation. Police also arrested five persons from the scene.
The injured were taken to Sonagazi Health Complex for treatment.
