Chittagong Senior Vice president of City unit of BNP, Chittagong Abu Sufian said forceful occupation of state power cannot be sustained permanently .
After post liberation period, Awami League established on party Baksal rule snatching the democratic rights and independence of newspapers but could not sustained. After assuming state power, Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman reinstated multiparty democracy in the country and reestablished the independence of the newspapers.
At present AL after assuming power forcibly conspiring to reinstate Baksal rule in the country by gagging the voice of media and judiciary, he added.
BNP leader urged upon the party leaders and workers of the BNP led alliance to get united for movement against the autocratic rule of the present Govt aimed at regaining the constitutional and voting rights of the people under the leadership of BNP chairperson Begum Zia. He disclosed it while addressing the Eid reunion meeting of Solasahar Ward BNP, Chhatra Dal, Jubo Dal as Chief Guest. Ward BNP President Dost Mohammad presided over the reunion meeting.
