Bangladesh Hindu Buddha Oikya Parishad, Chittagong Chapter alleged AL leader and party nominated chairman of Narayanhat Union Parishad under Fatikcharai upazila Harunur Rashaid for his communal provocative speech.
The parishad leader demanded expulsion of UP chairman and arrest immediately. The parishad disclosed it in a press meet held in Chittagong on Saturday.
The press meet was told that UP chairman Harunur Rashed urges Hindu community in his locality to migrate in Islam religion in his recent speech in a religious functions in Fatikchari.
Sources said UP chairman Harun in his speech to the representatives of Tablig Jamaat at the local Darul Salam Moque on Friday, delivered the communal provocative speech.
In the press meet, central general secretary of Parishad Advocate Rana Das Gupta said Harunur Rashid not belong to the concept of Awami League and working against the ideals of the party to jeopardize the image of the present government of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
The press meet demanded immediate removal of Harun ur Rashid from the post of UP chairman and expel from the party post by 72 hours otherwise tougher movement will be launched on August 31 next.
The press meet also announced for countrywide human chain against the Bangabandhu killers and war crimes and militancy on August 31 next. Video projections of Harunur Rashid’s speech was exhibited in the press meet.
Among others, parishad leader Engr. Parimal Chowdhury, Indu Nandan Dutta, Tapash Hore, Bijoy Laxmi Devi, Adv. Nitai Prasad spoke on the occasion.
