The election of SaidpurUpazilaParishad of Nilphamari was held peacefully on Tuesday .
Awami League nominated candidate Moksedul Momin got 36, 981 votes and won the election. His immediate opponent candidate Shawkat Hayat Shah received 20 thousand 398 votes.
A total of 5 candidates contested in the election. Within these, Jatiya Party’s nominated candidate Elias ChowdhuryBhulu got 18, 231 votes. Independent candidate (Jamaat) Abdul Muntakim got 7 thousand 683 votes and Hafiz Nurul Huda, candidate of the Islamic Movement got 3,333 votes. The matter has been confirmed by Returning Officer and District Election Officer ZilhajUddin.
