The 11th Parliamentary election is just around the corner. The candidates of Awami League AL-led grand alliance with the Nouka (Boat) symbol are campaigning in full swing across the country.
The grand alliance candidates are also dominating their respective constituencies.
But the festive mood is yet to arrive, as in most of the constituencies the BNP led Jatiya Okiyafront
candidates are busy with facing cases and other issues.
The candidates with boat symbol started their campaigning in full swing after Prime Minister and AL President Sheikh Hasina started her campaign from Tungipara on Wednesday addressing several rallies and public gatherings on the way back to Dhaka.
Sheikh Hasina are focusing on the development work done during his or AL led government’s tenure.
“Every vote is valuable and I hope you will help us form the government for the continuation of the country’s development. If Awami League fails to return to power, the construction work on the Padma Bridge will be suspended,” Sheikh Hasina said. The AL sources said that the message from the grand alliance has been sent to all the candidates and grass root leaders and activists of AL and other alliance parties to highlight the development activities of the government.
They have also been asked to tell the people about the role of the anti-liberation forces during the War of Independence in 1971.
The AL central office put emphasis on the contribution of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and AL in nation building activities since 1949.
The candidates are also executing the direction of the central office. the candidates and their supporters conducted the election campaigns at the respective constituencies through procession, rally, view-exchange meeting and distributing leaflets.
